• Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Human Resource Management from Strayer University, graduating with honors and as a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society, graduated in 2011.

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration and Management from Wingate University, graduated in 2007.

• Associate of Science (A.S.) in Business Administration and Management from Montreat College, graduated in 2005.

Professional Experience

Naimah Pears has a rich professional background that spans over two decades:

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD): She has been with CMPD since April 2000, serving in various capacities, including her current role as an Administrative Officer I. Her responsibilities include conducting pre-employment and criminal history checks, analyzing administrative challenges, and providing overall HR and benefits support. Previously, she held positions such as Domestic Violence Counselor, Investigative Technician, and Office Assistant IV.

Business Owner: Naimah is the founder and owner of Red Lips and Cigar Sticks®, LLC, a lifestyle and e-commerce business established in June 2018. This venture includes a digital magazine blog, retail and marketing services, personal and virtual styling, as well as business and branding coaching.

Community Involvement: She has actively participated as a trained community volunteer and child advocate with the Guardian Ad Litem program, representing the needs of abused and neglected children within the court system.

Mrs. Pears plans to retire from the City of Charlotte in 2030. Post-retirement, she aims to concentrate on her entrepreneurial pursuits, cherish quality moments with family and friends, and discover new travel destinations!
