Professional Experience
Naimah Pears has a diverse professional background spanning over two decades:
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD): She has been with the CMPD since April 2000, holding various roles, including her current position as an Administrative Officer I. Her work involves conducting pre-employment and criminal history checks, analyzing administrative problems, and providing general HR and benefits support. Previous roles at CMPD included Domestic Violence Counselor, Investigative Technician, and Office Assistant IV.
Business Owner: She is the founder and owner of Red Lips and Cigar Sticks®, LLC, an e-commerce and lifestyle company established in June 2018. This venture includes a digital magazine blog, retail/marketing, personal/virtual styling services, and business/branding coaching.
Community Involvement: She has served as a trained community volunteer and child advocate with the Guardian Ad Litem program, advocating for the needs of abused and neglected children in the court system.
Mrs. Pears plans to retire from the City of Charlotte in 2030. After her retirement, she intends to focus on her entrepreneurial ventures, spend quality time with family and friends, and explore new travel destinations!
